Honey bees make bee pollen by collecting billions of grains of flower pollen, and as they do, they pollinate plants. Bee pollen is essential to ensure the survival and health of a colony.
Just as honey bees make excess honey, enough for us to harvest, they also collect excess pollen. Our bee pollen is ethically collected by using only fallen pollen in the hives, which doesn’t harm or disturb the bee’s routine.
It is important to recognize that a one teaspoon of pollen takes one bee working eight hours a day for one month to gather.
Each bee pollen pellet contains over two million flower pollen grains and one teaspoonful contains over 2.5 billion grains of flower pollen.
